Agriturismo Antico Casale Pozzuolo

The structure of the Agriturismo “Antico Casale Pozzuolo”, situated on the slopes of Monte Amiata and built entirely of stone, dates back to the end of the 18th Century and is surrounded by a leafy oasis of chestnuts and hundred year old olive trees.

The climate is mild and the countryside is typical of the Maremma hillside: time spent in this charming spot is, for all lovers of nature, a unique and unforgettable opportunity for relaxation. Long walks through the wooded slopes of Monte Amiata in search of mirtle berries, wild strawberries and mushrooms or, if you prefer, excursions on horseback or mountain bike are all on offer.

Panoramic views of the medieval hilltown, Seggiano, sunsets over the Val d’Orcia and the scent of broom, which adorns the mediterranean heath or “macchia” contribute to making your stay even more pleasing and idyllic.

Here at Pozzuolo, in a spacious yet family setting, you will be able to sample some of our home-made produce typical of the region (honey,  olive oil from Seggiano (“Olivastra Seggianese”), chestnuts and walnuts) accompanied in our welcoming restaurant by a feast of expertly and diligently prepared local dishes.

The Agriturismo is furthermore an ideal location from which to explore the delights of the Maremma, being only 35 kms from Saturnia, 25 kms from Montalcino and Pienza and 60 kms from the historic cities of Siena and Montepulciano. On the Grosseto side of the mountain the parks of the Maremma and various seaside locations, such as Argentario and Castiglione della Pescaia are within easy reach.

We look forward with open arms to welcoming you as our guests.

Until then!!!
